4. Mira Costa 8, Leuzinger 0: McKenna Doyle and Megan Carver each scored twice to lift visiting Mira Costa (18-3, 6-2). Kimby Keever, Megan Mahoney, Savannah Sartini and Yvette Sandoval also scored goals for Mira Costa.

 

5. Mira Costa 4, West Torrance 2: Kimby Keever scored two goals as Mira Costa (18-2, 5-1) broke open a 1-1 halftime tie to pull away from visiting West (13-7-1, 2-4). Jenna McKinney and Megan Mahoney also scored goals for Mira Costa. Jessica Vincent and Ashley Kawasaki scored for West.

6. Results of MC JV Soccer at Palos Verdes 1/24/12: 3-1 in favor of Costa
Costa Goals: Brooke Taylor (1), Alyssa Contreras (1) and Arielle Sheres (1)
Costa Assists: Brooke Taylor (1) and Arielle Sheres (2)
Summary: Costa controlled 1st ~15 minutes of the game but could not get a head or foot on several good corner & direct kicks into the PV goal area

 

7. Frosh/Soph defeats Peninsula 2-0. Coach Senkbeil said, "We are starting to work well as a team. It's exciting seeing our passes getting connected."

 

 

8. Lunches For Love: In January, Coach Perkinson organized a food drive for the homeless. The girls made hundreds of lunch bags and they were distributed in the Mission area in downtown LA.

 

9. The girl's soccer team room is completed and now open!

12. Hometown Fair!!! Thanks to all the girls and parents for making the Hometown Fair so successful. We raised $7,000!
