The Varsity team will be meeting in the Team Room on Saturday morning 9:00AM - 12:00PM. From 9:00 - 10:00, the team will be making sandwiches for the homeless! Nancy Russert is helping us to participate in an effort that delivers brown bag lunches to the homeless in Downtown LA on Sunday mornings, and we have volunteered to help this weekend. After the sandwich making, the team will review game tape from approximately 10 - 12. |

We have added a link to the Opponent's web site, just click on the Opponent's name on the Schedule Page and a new window will open with the information. Also, for away games, you can select the "Map It!" link for directions to the Opponent's school from MCHS. Erik Krum and Sean Currey were named 2007 All Americans by US Lacrosse.
Erik, who is now a two-time US Lacrosse All American, will be attending Salisbury University in Maryland.
The Salisbury University men’s lacrosse team were the No. 1 ranked team in the country this entire year en
route to the program's seventh NCAA Division III national championship, fourth in the past five years.
Sean, who was named a 2007 Academic All American, will be attending Dartmouth College, in New Hampshire,
continuing the MCHS Lacrosse team's dedication to academics.

College Recruiting Information Seminar on April 11th. Lane Jaffe from the
Starz Foundation will make a presentation and answer your questions
about "Playing Lacrosse in College". Players, coaches and parents are all welcome. Please

fund raising dinner and silent auction. The event will start at 7pm at Gallery C, located

On Saturday, March 10, the MCHS Boys Lacrosse teams will travel to the First 4 NCAA
Event in San Diego. The bus will leave the MCHS Parking lot on Peck on Saturday, March 10
at 12:00 pm. The bus will return to the MCHS Peck Parking lot a 11:00 pm for parent pickup.
Please be on time for the bus.
As a reminder, the Booster Club takes care of:
- Luxury Bus Transportation to/from San Diego
- Admission Ticket to NCAA Lacrosse First 4 games
- Meal in La Jolla (pizza or sandwiches)
All Players should bring:
- Warm clothes for the evening (team jacket, warm gloves, team wool cap)
- Bag Lunch for bus ride and sunscreen
- Money for snacks/souvenirs

The Times for this Saturday's JV and Varsity Games at Loyola has changed!
The JV game will now be played at 10:00 AM and the Varsity game will start at 12:30 PM. To accommodate these time changes the bus will leave the MCHS parking lot on Peck at 8:00 AM sharp. Please be there by 7:45 AM. All players are required to take the bus to the game.
As the away team, the Varsity will be wearing our Green uniforms (JV only has green), although we encourage each player to bring both uniforms for each game just in case). Please remember that if you turned in an 'Alternate Transportation Permission Form', the players may ride home after the game with their parents, or designee, as long as coach Jamie (for the JV players) or myself is aware of and agreed to this arrangement. Without this form, players are expected to return on the bus. If you have nay questions feel free to call Coach David at (310)621-2034 or JV Coach Jamie at (310) 606-0151.

Wednesday, February 28 is our first JV and Varsity game!
The JV game will be played first @ 5:00 and the Varsity game will start at 7:15. Please note that the JV and Varsity will be played on separate fields. The JV game will be played at the Tustin Sports Park - 12850 Robinson Drive, Tustin, CA 92782, and the Varsity will be played at Tustin High School's (THS) "Northrup Stadium" - 1171 El Camino Real, Tustin, 92780.
As the away team, the Varsity will be wearing our Green uniforms (JV only has green). (CIF rules have Home teams in White and Away teams in Dark, although I encourage each player to bring both uniforms for each game just in case).
In order to give our JV team ample warm-up time before the game, the bus is scheduled to leave Mira Costa at 3:00 sharp. The bus will be picking us up at the MCHS upper parking lot off of Peck Rd. We will be leaving as quickly as possible, and can not wait long for those that are late. Please call me if you are having issues getting to the bus on-time. Saturday, February 24 is Team Photo / Uniform and Bag Distribution / Player Referee Clinic and Scrimmage Day
The schedule is as follows:
- 7:00am sharp: Varsity Team and Individual photos - meet under the MB pier (uniforms distributed)
- 9:30am sharp: JV team photo & individual photos - meet in the stadium (uniform distributed)
- 10:30 am: Varsity & JV meet at stadium to pick up new LAX bags (complements of booster club)
- 11:00 am: Varsity and JV Player - Referee Clinic
- 12:00 pm - 2pm:Varsity and JV Scrimmage
Parents please be sure to return the Completed PHOTO FORM with your check if you choose to purchase photos of your player. Players will be given a photo form at practice on Tuesday or Wednesday. |

The Varsity will have mandatory practices Monday from 9:00 am till approximately 12:00 pm and double sessions from Tuesday through Friday from 9am - 10am and from 3:30 till dark. The JV will hold double session practices from 9am - 10am and from 3:30 till dark from Monday through Friday. |

Mira Costa boy's lacrosse coach Dave Vinci has released the Mustangs' 2007 schedule. The Mustangs, who won the Bay League Championship last season and finished the season ranked No. 8 in the final Lax Power California rankings, will play one of the most competitive schedules in the CIF Southern Section for 2007. Mira Costa takes on seven teams that finished 2006 ranked in the top 20 for California schools. The Mustangs are coming off last year's 15-2 campaign that saw them capture their first Bay League Championship. Mira Costa will return four starters, including All-American attackman Erik Krum and All Bay League 1st team midfielder Reed Eisenhauer. The 2007 schedule kicks off with away games against Foothill (Orange County) on February 28th and Loyola on March 3rd. The Mustangs follow that opening week with two home game against rivals Peninsula on March 6th and Palos Verdes, who has been touted by many as a contender for the top spot in the CIF Southern Section, on February 9th at Waller Stadium. |

Artificial Turf Field Proposed for Mira Costa's Waller Stadium. The MBAF and Mira Costa Booster Clubs that use Waller Stadium are proposing the funding and construction of a new artificial turf field. Lacrosse is an important beneficiary of a new field and we are involved in the process. 2006 Varsity Captain Jamie Bridgman Commits to Bryant College. Mira Costa senior attack Jamie Bridgman has verbally committed to play NCAA Division II lacrosse at Bryant University in Smithfield, R.I. Bridgman, 18, of Manhattan Beach, said he chose Bryant over Whittier, San Diego State and Chapman. "I went there on a recruiting trip, and I loved the campus. The coaches were really nice people, and I really liked the players on the team." Bridgman led Mira Costa to a 15-2 record this last season and the Bay League regular season and tournament titles. In the Bay League championship game, he registered nine points, scoring six goals and providing three assists in a 9-6 victory over Palos Verdes. |
